He felt called soon after to serve the Lord as a pastor, trained at the Scottish Baptist College in 1991 and was called to be pastor of Denny Baptist Church in 1995. In 2000 he became the chaplain at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. He was involved in preaching and teaching at Woodhill for around 5 years prior to becoming Pastor.
Alan is married to Nina and they have three sons (Grant, Aaron and Robert).
David Graham (Youth Pastor)

David belongs to Motherwell and was educated at Dalzell High School. He became a Christian in 1997 as a teenager, a few months after his mother had come to a personal faith in Jesus Christ. Attending his mother’s baptismal service was a very special occasion for the family and made a great spiritual impact on David.
Leaving school he started an electrical engineering career and completed his apprenticeship in 2005. As a relatively young Christian he was keen to undertake a Biblical Studies and Christian Ministries Course at Higher Education level. He was able to take a year out from his electrical engineering career and undertake the course at the Tilsley College in Motherwell which he successfully completed. His home Church at that time had just launched a special Missions Initiative where they became involved with Missions in India, Albania, Glasgow, Peru and Zambia. David took the opportunity of spending a month in the Zambian Mission which made lasting impressions on him.
Returning to his electrical career he became deeply involved in the leadership of various children and youth ministries in his home Church in Motherwell. This involvement extended into leading young folk’s camps with other Churches. The growing passion and interest he had in young people’s lives led him to consider devoting all his time to this area of ministry and giving up his secular career. Prayer played a big part in his life and through this he started to question ‘ where God wanted him to be’ so he prayerfully considered various opportunities. In September 2013 one of the opportunities which presented itself to David was the Youth Pastor’s role at Woodhill Evangelical Church. He was delighted to take up this role and commenced with the Church in October that year.
He is married to Heather who also has a deep interest in young people and is a great support to David. They have a son, Andrew. David is really into sport, a keen footballer and golfer.
